Mixing Engineer wanted- electronic music project - Santa Monica / West LA preferred
I am currently looking for a mixing engineer in the Santa Monica / West LA area. I will consider those outside the area but because I would like to attend the sessions work makes it hard for me to go too far.
This is for an electronic music project("bedroom producer" type). As far as budget goes, it's not a super low budget deal but I currently cannot do the average studio rates diddlydoo
Please send(PM) me a link to your website(if you have one) and samples of your work. Also rates as well and location / area. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Fully equipped studio in Czech Republic, EU for long term rent
We´re looking for a producer, engineer or a band who´s in need of fully equipped mid/hi-end studio for a long-term rent (think of months rather than days or weeks) starting from February/March.
you can take a look at Studio Svarov on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos for pictures, list of available gear and instruments. Everything will be included.
Studio is suited more for tracking than mixing and would be ideal for a European based producer who´s looking for a tracking space for multiple projects in a row.
Studio is in freestanding building on lovely countryside and allows 24/7 recording time with no disturbance. It features air-conditioned control room and tracking room with variable acoustics, storage room and bathroom. Second floor is built exclusively for accommodation purposes and features huge lounge area, four bedrooms, two separate bath rooms and two separate rest rooms.
We are able to offer a great price!
In case of interest, or further info, don´t hesitate to contact me. Thanks
Studio for Vocals in NY
A friend of mine from Europe is in NY on tour, and needs a place to record some vocals to finish an album.
Looking for a small, good sounding place with hi-end gear. Preferably Brooklyn...
This is just vocals so they don't need a huge SSL with several rooms, and of course, they're on a budget.
This will be between 1st and 6th of January.
Full Time Engineer-Santa Monica CA
Busy Santa Monica Music House is in search of a Tracking/Mix engineer. This is NOT an assistant position. 3 Yrs+ tracking/mix and broadcast mix experience preferred.
The bulk of recording/mixing is centered around working to picture. We're looking for someone who works well with time constraints and is comfortable with a fast paced schedule. Someone who's able to further facilitate our creative process and improve final mixes and production quality all within tight deadlines.
Here's what we're looking for:
Mixing: Music/FX/Dialog mixes throughout current projects as well as broadcast mixes, when required, upon completion of the creative rounds.
Tracking: Working closely with the principal composer along with our other composers at varying times. These sessions can be anything from rock sessions, ensemble recording (strings/horns/percussion/vocalists/etc), Pop... whatever project comes through the door. A general appreciation and ability to work within any given style is necessary.
Editing: Strong editing MIDI/Audio are required. Pro Tools pros to the front of the line.
Most importantly, a great personality and professional demeanor are essential. We're making music that's often buried in Dialog and FX but we put as much into the process as making records. We have a great time doing it too.
Please send resume/reel/discography to email@example.com
Thanks and Happy New Year
Philadelphia, PA - Recording assistant needed (paid)
Impact Soundworks (Impact Soundworks) is a sample development company founded in 2008 by composers Andrew Aversa and Will Roget, II. After three highly successful product releases and a fourth slated for February 2010, we are looking to expand and take on more sampling projects. To this end we are looking for a qualified recording assistant who is enthusiastic about what we do and who can undertake the following duties:
(1) Help in finding and/or booking recording locations for sampling projects. Depending on what we are looking to record, an actual studio is not necessarily required. Any great sounding spaces could also do, or even a particularly interesting (but dead) space.
(2) Serve as primary engineer in any recording sessions. Understand the needs of our project and select the appropriate mics, positioning, signal chain, levels, etc. While we will be involved in all sessions, the RA will be actually carrying them out. The RA will also be expected to do all the proper research into the instruments we will be recording and work with us to plan for the sessions appropriately.
(3) Assist in finding (and possibly transporting) performers and instruments for our projects.
General job requirements:
* Self-motivated, proactive, driven, and interested in what we do. This is very important!
* Experience composing or producing with samplers such as Kontakt.
* Residence in Philadelphia metropolitan or suburban area.
* 3+ years experience working in recording studios (can be in-school experience, but "real world" is preferred)
* High-school degree
The tools you use are irrelevant to us. We care about producing excellent products of the highest quality. Whether you prefer to record with Logic, Digital Performer, Samplitude or Pro Tools, it doesn't matter, as long as you can do top-notch work with whatever you use.
* Per-project basis (contractual, of course.) We will pay a fee for the project as a whole (encompassing work outside of sessions) as well as an hourly-fee for any recording time.
If you are interested, please send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please include samples of your best recordings, as well as any other information you think is relevant.
