Female Pop Voices for Karaoke Work
I'd like to thank those who responded, and many did, to my recent ad for male singers for rock and pop material here in the weird, very LOW paying word of karaoke. It's amazing how many talented vocalists are out there!
Now I move on to this...looking for female pop singers in the Avril type mode, and younger. Say 20+. I have many great female singers I go to for tracks but most are a little older, and can do things like Adele very well, but I'm short on singers who can handle the younger sounding stuff...Disney pop, etc.
As with the male singers, they need be able to record themselves and upload vocals, etc, and be solid vocalists who don't turn in vocals that need 3 hours of editing work before they are usable. Good at hearing harmonies as well.
Want to also clarify, this work is sporadic, some weeks you might have 3 songs, then you might not have any songs for two weeks, etc. The more versatile you are, obviously the more work will come your way. In this specific genre though, I'm looking really for a specific type of sound, rather than someone who can do everything.
If you know anyone like this that might fit the bill, and would like some extra money on the side while pursuing your real dreams, please get in touch at or send demos to:
oceantracks@mac.com
GS has been a great help in finding talent, the last ad I placed came up with some super vocalists, hope this does the same. Thanks so much.
Tom

LF a Cotrol Room dsigner
Time to move. I need someone that will design me a 25-35 sqm cr for mixing in 2.0 and 5.1.
The place is in Warsaw, Poland, but we can work online as well.
I'm looking only for PRO designers. I have a major in Acoustics, but I'm simply just to busy to sit down to it.
The room should be designed with non moving elements and it should look modern and confident.
Please write me on maro@pro-mixes.com for details.
Thank you.

Instrumental Mix Project Available; 29 Tracks [Paid]...
My studio partner has taken on a project that we just don't have the time to handle at the moment... looking to outsource to someone with experience and a "decent" rig if possible.
Project has 29 songs over 2 CDs, yep, 29... it is an average home recording of guitar focused rock/folk music [no vocals], recorded and composed on a very old version of Logic [pre Apple].
Files are all WAV, so any DAW is cool, however there may be some sync issues from the bounce down that will need to be flagged, no need for repairs... we will organise the correct files, but some attention to this will be required.
A couple tracks have a real kit but mostly stereo [mixed] electronic drums, the drum mix is a little flawed so EQ shaping might be necessary.
PM me with a website, or with a brief outline of your experience and your monitoring/gear setup.
Pay on offer is US$50 per track, so US$1,450 in total.
We'll be mastering the tracks once complete and have an FTP server to facilitate the mix remotely if necessary.
Thanks guys!

Mixer/Engineer wanted to work out of studio in brooklyn
I own/operate a home studio out of Bay Ridge Brooklyn called Revolution Studios. I have kept extremely busy for 3 years now, although in solitude. For the whole trip- it's only been me and the client.
Recently, I've been 'sharing the wealth' as it might be known, and bringing an old friend in on production jobs with me. Two brains--- better than one? I can honestly say that this has been an extremely rewarding experience. Musically- we differ a bit- but there is a common ground where both my new co-worker and I can say 'yeah- that's it' and therein lies the value of the experience.
The pleasure of working on mixes/production with somebody else is also invaluable, and something that I have not previously known. Hell, it's fun.
Additionally- it's nice to have someone to talk with a client while i'm trying to get work done.
And so- I am extending myself to see if there is anybody in the NYC area that is looking for more work. I have had the distinct good fortune of staying busy, w/o respite- and have constant work.
Mostly electronic/dance/pop stuff, although occasionally- there is some more rock/acoustic based stuff.
It'd be great if mixing was a strong point of yours.
This is not an internship thing. This is a home studio that makes good $$, and you would of course be compensated for your work/time.

Looking for NYC Mixing Engineer tutor (Pop/RnB/Dance)
I'm primarily a producer/songwriter but I do a lot of demo mixing and "faux-mastering" out of my project studio. I'm a self-taught engineer and although I think my mixing/mastering gets the job done in terms of presenting the song, surprise surprise, the end result doesn't sound enough like the purchased songs in my iTunes. To give you an idea of my "mastering" strategy, lately I've been slapping a C4 and an L2007 on the master bus and playing around with the C4 presets and threshold levels.
Anyway, I am looking for a professional mixer to give me a few lessons during which we would go through some of my mixes and he/she would share some vital techniques, tips, tricks etc. These could be done at either your place or mine but you must know how to achieve good results working entirely in the box.
You can check out some of my mixes at www.andrewunderberg.com/rnbpop
Must be in NYC or close by. Please reply with a link to your work and hourly rate.
Thanks a lot!
~Andrew
