Urgently Seeking Percussion Session Player For Soulful House Production
Hi All,
I'm urgently seeking a good quality percussion player to play & record some parts for a Soulful House Project I'm currently working on.
Ideally the Percussion player should be familiar/comfortable with playing Soulful/Afro/Deep/Jazz House Percussion styles.
I'm happy for the percussion player to play & record the session remotely/from their own studio due to the urgent nature of the request.
This session will most likely lead to forthcoming work.

Temporary assistant wanted for major label session on location in Cornwall, UK
My name is Christian Langdon. I have a potential assistant position available at the end of this month for a week (Nov 26th to Dec 3rd-7days) in Cornwall, UK. I am producing 4 new tracks for a major label act repack, the record is currently certified gold in the UK. One of the tracks will be the lead single released early next year.
I am considering bringing an assistant down with me to help with the running of the session as I will be quite busy as i am also playing, producing and engineering the session.
A high level of both Logic and Pro Tools knowledge is a must, but also a understanding of signal flow and general engineering skills are required. Pride in tidy, organized and well backed up sessions is integral.
I am renting a bunch of gear and will be setting up a small hybrid rig based around both Logic and PT10 in a rented house near Newquay, Cornwall, UK
I will be tracking as much as possible in the time, including a basic drum setup (kick,sn,hats), all vocals, gtrs, keys/synths, programming.
See below rental list for a sense of what ill be bringing.

You may also be asked to help with any of the artists requirements also which should be approached as part of the job. You will be joining myself and the 2 artists.
This is unpaid, but all your travel, food and accommodation will be covered. You will receive a minimum "assistant engineer" credit and if all goes well an "additional engineering" credit.
This is a great opportunity for any young engineer that wants to get experience in engineering.

Mac/PC network geek in LA wanted.
I need someone who can come to my studio for a couple of hours and make it so that when they are connected via Remote Desktop either my Mac sees my PC hard drives to copy to or my PC sees my Mac drives to copy from.
I have had 2 reasonably knowledgeable friends over and they are stumped as to why it is not working as the two are working fine together with Vienna Ensemble Pro.

LA Based Studio Wiring Wizard Needed
There is a a buzzing in our patch panels that no one seems to be able to figure out. We have had electricians in to rewire everything, remove dimmers, and even put in a new sub panel with dedicated circuits. I'm fairly convinced this is not electrical.
The wiring is run underneath the building via a pretty crazy crawl space between the live room and the control room with panels on each end. We've had multiple people come in and check everything on the panels and have even had them re-soldered. No change.
I am looking for someone who seriously knows their stuff and can come in and solve this issue. More than likely it's going to take removing and re-running the wiring, possibly with some sort of insulator to eliminate the issue and protect against any RF, but of course I can't be sure.
Be prepared for the following:
1. Bring whatever test equipment is necessary to figure this out
2. Get dirty crawling underneath the building through some fairly dirty and dark areas to get to the bottom of this mess
3. Unsolder and re-solder all connections if that's what it takes
We have already spent quite a bit of money trying to figure this out. We're happy to pay for the service if you can solve it but are not interested in going down the same roads we've already been down hoping that this time it will be different. The bottom line is, if you solve it we will pay the bill. If it doesn't get solved, we go our separate ways.
I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but we cannot keep spinning our wheels with person after person who "knows exactly what's wrong without even looking at it". If you know your stuff and can solve this please let me know ASAP.

Wanted composer to "correct" the layout of some songs before tracking
Hello,
I'm about to start tracking some songs for a bands album.
I'm looking for a composer/arranger who can help the band getting the best out of their music before tracking.
I'll give the candidate a couple of songs for him/her to judge and "correct" if needed so that they can get closer to a final product.
Things I'm looking for is instrumentation changes, parts where the instruments come in and go out, maybe changes in the vocal harmonies and so on.
No need to write the music but the ability to explain in words where and when there should be any changes.
LA area would be a plus so that we can actually get together with the band during practice.
