excellent editing, tuning, and mix prep... I'm your man
my wife and I are dabbling with the idea of extending our family. thus trying to figure out a way to get more cash influx.
I run a studio in manhattan and produce/mix/compose for a living. I also take on all different kinds of music-related jobs as I find it necessary to be able to do most anything these days to make a living in the music industry.
I have this odd fascination and enjoyment when it comes to editing and tuning and organizing sessions. I'm totally OCD, so maybe that's why.
if you're looking for some help from a talented and experienced editor who can cover tuning jobs and general session prep as per your needs, please inquire. I can do sound replacement for drums as well. I studied music and have a good understanding of harmony/theory, so this comes in handy for tuning jobs. editing drums for 10 years plus now, manually and with beat detective. I have a good sense of creating solid rhythms whether you want it on the grid or just want an even performance (drums, guitar, bass).
labeling, section markers, color coding, etc., you name it. no job is too small, so please inquire.
I would love to establish a relationship with some steady working engineers in the community if possible. I can do flat rate or hourly, and I guarantee reasonable rates given what you will be delivered.
I have my own personal ftp page to upload files upon completion.
PM me if you're interested.
thanks!

Mixing / Mastering Engineer Needed
Hi Gear Sluts,
My music network is launching pretty soon, and I need a some engineers looking for remote work on an as needed basis (pretty frequently). I don't know exactly what we have coming down the pipeline but all I can say is the opportunity is going to be very exiting. If you like working with start ups, and are interested in learning more about what we believe will change the way music services are conducted online, plus have the desired skill set, I'd love to talk to you.
Edit: Sorry to be a little vague, but in a nutshell... I'm looking for engineers that mix all types of popular music... rock/pop/hip hop/electronic, etc. I'll talk about the rest of the details.
Email contact information and best time to reach.

Content Writer Wanted for Site FAQ
I am looking for a seasoned forum veteran, with mastery of the english language to help me write a noob FAQ. What I need is articles of roughly 250 -400 words in length which give well informed answers to the basic questions new recordists have. Some questions will require more well researched objectivity. Others are more subjective in nature, and will simply be 3 or 4 sentence answers. What I am looking to do is develop a repository of answers to the most common questions.....ie:
Examples of titles for articles (of which I have dozens)-
How should I choose a vocal microphone?
What are the differences between condenser, dynamic, and ribbon microphones?
Can I mix on headphones? Why or Why not?
Remuneration can be made in cash (paypal) or gear!

We're on a limited budget, but are going to be mixing a full album in the coming months as well. If you're interested.. please send me an email with you're name, some links to previous work and an estimation of what your rate is.. thanks so much!!
