Studio Soundproofing Materials
Hi,

Im looking to convert my garage into a studio for personal use and think i have decided on the materials and would like views before i go ahead with the conversion.

The house is semi detached and the garage is attached to the house on one side, the other side looks out onto a path, then a fence and then neighbours garage (approx 2.5 meters between my garage and theirs).

What are peoples views on using the following

For the Walls and Ceiling ...
- 75mm rockwool flexi layered between a wood framework
- soundproof plasterboard on top of the rockwool

Non floating Floor (the floor is concrete)
- layer of polystyrene in between a wood framework
- Wood floor on top

The mains objectives are to

1) Soundproof
2) Insulate

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
