Assistant looking for work in NY
Description: I am looking for paid assistant engineer opportunities in NYC.
I am about to be a graduate from SUNY Purchase's Studio Production program with a Bachelors of Music degree. I have spent the last 2 years interning and assisting at Stratosphere Sound in NYC, as well as helping out with the studio build of Studio G 5K in Brooklyn this past summer. Previous to that I have interned at Electrical Audio in Chicago and have spent the last 4 years in various studio environments ranging from engineering my own sessions to interning and assisting high level clientele at major recording studios. I can supply a full resumé and references on request.
I understand in many studios there is a "break in period" of unpaid work that has to happen in order to gain the trust and relationship between the studio and myself before assistant work can be had. I am willing to do that work as long as it will help me progress towards a higher position.
