Opinion on a rock song please

So we are working on finishing our first recording and this is the first song that I had a chance to mix. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you.

I doubt this is a perfect mix. No suggestions?

Well,
The drums are kinda weak and boxy sounding. The toms seemed to sound ok, but the rest of the kit needs some serious re-tooling in my opinion
I like the guitar tones, they seem the closest to sounding "done" to me.
Vox is decent, maybe a bit sibilint, might need some de-essing..

There are some timing issues with the drumming. pretty bad push / pull at times.
Bass could be alot fuller, but I think once you address the drum tones the bass will have some room to work better.

It seems like your going for an early 80's U2 type of sound. It's close, but if thats what your going for you might want to listen to the rhythm section of those records for a reference point.

Your on the right track.

I think the vocals are sitting low personally. Well, the level is good, but the rythm guitar is eating up all the arrangement. The drums don't sound right either, they need to punch through more. Bass seems ok I think.

The high end is really brittle too...

Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it. The drums were recorded using a mixer to the two channels on an Mbox so there is only so much I can do to change them. I've done a bit more work on the track and I will post it in a couple days. Anymore feedback is welcome. BTW rainsinvelvet I really like that one song your band has called "Oceanographer". Pretty cool. Your basslines are very taseful. In terms of the early U2 sound, we've been getting that alot. What about the song gives you that feeling besides the overly Edge-esque bridge? Over all I hope you guys think it's a decent song. Thanks you.
