| vocal aahs - Togepi I'd just like opinions on the sound of the vocal aahs in this recording. What kind of space does it sound like, etc. Thanks. |

| Lots of people listened but no comments relating to the clip... This is one of those cases where something was an accident but then when I showed this clip to lay people they kept saying they really liked the backup vocals. So I wanted to get the opinions of other engineers to see if it is a technique I should continue to employ in the future. Thank you. |

| Skel, The clip seemed to skip within the piece. It happens right at the start of "It could be tommorrow." Maybe an edit??? I like the space you have the vocals in. I would blend the "ahhs" back into the mix more and add just a touch of additional verb. The vocal "aahs" sound like samples. Take it as a compliment. Well done.

| Those vocal ahhs were sung by me. I don't know if I would call it complimentary to sound like samples. Or maybe I don't quite understand what you mean. Remoteness, you mentioned that you liked the "space that the vocals are in." Could you elaborate on that word "space" please. Is this a good technique to continue use of in the future. Thanks, MissE ![]() |

| Well done MissE, The layering you did on the BG vocals works well. They sound thick and I like the placement of the vocals -- I would bring them back a bit in the mix and add a touch of verb to the "AHHs" sound. The technique works for you but, don't over use it.
