| Dylan,S Burke,J Blunt-tips on Bkng Vocal mix needed Hi all Id be really glad if someone can help me on how to go about getting the "effect" on these 3 backing vocal mixes using Cubase and Waves plugins? 1.Dylan-(album) time out my mind.Track-standing in the doorway. Theres a slapback delay in the left 2.Solomon Burke (album)Dont Give up on me.Track- Diamond in your mind. Id like to know how was the backing vocal done.It sounds as if its coming out an old radio 3.James Blunt-track-No Bravery The backing vocals sound very "far away from the mic" ive added a zip file containing 5 sec snippets from these tracks Thanks a ton |

That's how they got depth in the "old days" :) If you want it to sound further back, move it further away from the mic.
