| I love the fact that here in America the media/government has trained us to react to the word 'Iran' by imediatly relating it to Nuclear inilation. |

| Uplifting tune! ![]() I support UK & USA in the world cup... (did the USA qualify?) Be a good match Iran vs USA! ![]() I live in Turkish & Kurdish neighbourhood - as I que up to pay in the local stores its hard to to succumb to headbanging to the infectious eastern scale-pop music they play.. This would fit right in.. ![]()

| Not really an outburst of creativity ( somehow they seem to have only one melody pattern in the orient [ aside of a couple Arabian pieces and klezmer music which is pretty rich in variety ] ), but the times when Near East productions came on badly produced, dull and soft sounding cassettes seem to be over since a while. The sonics in this production are great ( and the mixing is great too )! Where have the tracks been recorded? Ruphus

| Lives for gear | Thanks for the comments. It's been a vibe thing, my partner helped out the singer who wrote the song on his Triton? They transferred the sounds into logic, the beat got refurbished and a new bass was played. The vocals were recorded in two sessions at our studio and so I got to mix it... after recording the complete verses in a quick hour last minute session. Really talented singer! Looking forward doing a "real" song with him! - he left with the slightly "enhanced" mix you heard. Stop the LOUDNESS WAR, lol We already produced other modern arabic (mainly kurdish) music for turkey with a turkish producer and start building a reputation in that scene. - the hardest part is to fit the tuning ...somewone want to sell a peterson?Cheers, Niko |

| Was discussing with my cousin about the drought and we agreed. Today he sent me this though for a better example from an artist named Parviz R. Panah, and I must say had there been used just as punchy, but natural drum it would have been terrific ( not that it was too bad as is ...) Ruphus

| The live drum at the beginning is called a tombac I think, but I donīt like the following synthetical bass drum for the same reason as you do. Donīt like techno. Thus I say, had the artists not used the techno drum but a natural drumming it would have been a great instrumental piece ( despite the other synthetical tracks ). Great sound on that Turkish mp3. I like the character of the sitars mids ( or however itīs called ), same with the flute, and the kick is nicely tightened up too. Nice top on the vocals, no sharpness at all with the esses. Gotta say that all of the sonics ( and playing ) of the discussed examples here are really nice quality. Here is a slow piece, chanson-pop like. ( artists Siavash Ghomayshi ) Ruphus

| Pan, I listened to a clip of your song this weekend on the NPR program "All things Considered".They said "Iran hopes this pumping song pumps their World Cup effort " not ad verbatim but close.Congrats I was wondering why the Iranian song was done in Germany. The national songs are a matter of pride for that country and are usually not outsourced. Is it due to lack of musicians in that country? |

The most boring out of this bunch is usually the officialy FIFA licensed one. Well, Ali is just an Iranian singer that happens to live in Germany writing a song for his team at the worldcup. - And he has pride! - I somehow happened to mix german/persian popmusic, and it was definitely fun to be part of this. ...too bad they have to leave, but they will certainly party anyways! btw...Hamburg is in fever! The soccer-euphoria has taken over! Good luck for your teams! Argentinia Ecuador England Germany Mexico Netherlands Portugal and Sweden! oh, and I think that Ghana will end the tournament for the USA. whilst noone notices over there because of the basketball. Let's all hope, they don't play foul on Iran after the cup. ![]() | ||
