Hi Durv,
Thanks for the input.
Was there anything specific regarding the mix that you liked or didn't like?
Are you into this type of music much?
Thanks again!

Yea, I'm not really into the guys vocals... Otherwise it sounds pretty damn good.
I'de tweek the drums a bit for this style. The toms seem a bit tubby. try some subtle 300ish cuts. Maybe a bit more snap on the snare and some compression to smooth things out. Maybe a bit more agressive overall drum copression effect?

Theres something missing between the guitars and bass. Maybe try some 800-2k boosts on the bass. I have a hard time hearing the "note" that everyones playing together if that makes any sense..

Overall nice job, I'm just nit picking

Eric,
I know exactly what you mean on the toms, I will work on them in the next session. I am only running light compression on the drum bus so I will have a bit of a play with that aswell.
There is a track of overdriven bass that I will boost up a bit that should help the gtrs and bass gel a bit better.
Thanks alot for taking the time to listen and reply.
Keep it commin' guys!

Donīt really have the time for a decent comment right now. But iīll try...

- like the cymbals. cool "soft" sound!
- bass sounds good, too
- performance is weak (esp. the vocals arenīt "credible")
- arrangement isnīt effective
- overall balancing of the instruments sounds good to me
- couple of timing issues (guitars...)
- donīt like the "telephone fx" on that small vocal part
- guitars sound like "real guitars" (cool!)

Thanks for the advice opentune!
That vocal effect was something the singer wanted to try out but I don't think it really worked.
This was going to be the opening track of the album might I might recomend to the guys that it should be one with a better vocal. There are other songs that I like more. It has been such a long project that you get desensitised to things so it is great to get these first impression opinions.
If anyone else has the time I would love to hear more!
Thanks again!

Not bad at all. Try to get the drums to have more attack and punch to them. They get a little lost in the mix. The Toms need help too...pan them and cut the middle out a little. Try a little delay on the vocals as well.....and BURY them...... ;)
