new rock/emo mix! need advice, final mix tomorrow!

This song is by the swedish band me+june (www.meandjune.com) and itīs called Bleach. It will be the title song for the english horror movie Bleach (www.bleachthemovie.com).
It is recorded through an amek/tac bullet console and a pair of motu HD192īs into logic. Itīsīmixed ITB with emagic, fishfillets, mda and psp plugins.

LINK: http://www.meandjune.com/misc/test.htm

Pros and hobbyists, what are your opinions on this mix?
What should I change to make it sound better?

(ps. if the verses feels a bit "empty" itīs because itīs missing a swell guitar, it will be tracked tomorrow)

sorry for my bad english!

works fine for me, firefox on a mac. Did you fix something?

Might wanna pan the overheads in a little, they're way too wide for the song. Pan something else out there.

The lead guitar on the right sounds really harsh, something in the upper mids.

Might wanna turn up the rythm guitar on the left during the verse. And turn up the HH. When you pan the OH's in a bit, turn them down a touch.

It sounds really good!

I wouldn't change much really...pull the overheads down a bit (2-3dB?) and then print a couple three versions to pick from later.

I'd probably do a guitar & snare up, and one with the background whispery vocal in the bridge (before the break) up a few dB because that kind of thing will be totally lost in the "real world" i.e., road noise in the car sorta stuff.

I didn't think the verse's sounded empty either, if anything I was diggin' on the space. Makes it sound a bit different then all the other bands out there.

Sounds good. I am hearing a few artifacts on the right side, but those could be enhanced by the MP3 conversion.
You might monitor the plugin chain to make sure you're not clipping anywhere.

weird. When I click on the link I get the "missing plug in's" page , but firefox can't seem to find what plug in I need to run it. Running firefox 1.5.0.1 (latest I believe) on a PC.

the final mix and master is done

I pretty much did what you all said, without having read this before the mix session :). I panned the toms and cymbals in, turned down the cymbals, turned up the radio voice on the left (not so much though). turned up the verse guitar and the backing guitar in the chorus a little, and added a swell guitar (just i few chords in the verses). In the master I did a small cut in the upper mids, it helped the whole song a little.

If anyones interested in the final version, tell me and Iīll post a link here, or.... Watch the movie when it has been unleashed :)

Thanks for the comments, great forum!
