Quick recording I did tonight.

I'm just a singer/songwriter type of dude.

Heres a song I wrote about my Day job.. Its called The Blacksmith.

Let me know how it sounds? How do you think the mics sound?

New guy here, amateur only. Guitars sound very nice. Vocals are good but I hear some mouth sounds that are a bit distracting. A little pitchy in places. I like the tonal quality of the vocal. Contrast between sections is good. Some rhythmic looseness between the guitar parts could be tighter there. All in all, I enjoyed it very much.

I like the song, but I think you shoulda done it all in one take. This song, although intimate sounding, needs to be moreso. Record vocals and only one guitar, all in one take. Use minimal micing. You have the performance skills to do this.

Overall, the sound sounds kinda muffled. Use some EQ, and pay more attention to your mic placement. Maybe some reverb, sounds like a small room.

Good stuff, very nice to listen to!
