Advice sought - acoustic rock!

My bread and butter is classical and jazz, but I've recorded a few acoustic rock tracks with a friend just for fun. Any comments on the recording/mixing of this track would be very welcome - anything at all. There is a guitar timing error near the end that I haven't edited out yet so don't point that out!

All mixed ITB using Logic. Cheers guys.

I like the song, but I would like to hear it with the drums a little bit more in front, I feel its too back there. The song overall sound to me a little bit simple but I guess it works

Everything else sonded goo to me

Sounds better in mono to me... I mean something sounds pretty phasy, I think it's the acoustic guitar? The overall balance betwin the instrument is really fine. Though for the overall tonal balance I'd like to hear a bit more meat in the lowmids/lows, less highend and therefor maybe a touch more uppermids (betwin 3-4K).
Just a thought... Andreas

Thanks for the comments guys. I've just looked over the Logic project again and it seems I bounced it with the guitar effects bus bypassed. Duh!

somethings sierously out of phase....like the stereo buss or something. Plus it sounds like it's all panned center in mono...

Did you remove the vocals from a Corr's song? That would explain it..

I'll go back and have a look at it! No, I recorded the vocals myself and it's not all panned centre. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi - vocals on a U87 into Avalon 737, guitar: 2 x Schoeps MK5 to 2 Avalon 737, bass: DI into 737, drums kick D112, snare SM-57, overheads 2 x Schoeps MK5, drum preamps were Mackie Onyx. Drum ADC was an Apogee AD-16, all other parts used a Troisi stereo companion ADC.

Compressors used - Avalon 737, Logic compressor
EQ - HydraTone & ValveTone
All other effects were Logic's onboard plugins.

The second mix sounds very good. Nice balance between the guitar and drumset in level and soundstage depth. Interesting bass line but it gets lost some of the time, maybe EQ slightly to emphasise overtones a bit more for clearer articulation.

Thanks for taking the time to reply everyone. I'll do the same v. soon for others - I can't at the moment as my studio computer is temporarily unconnected to the net while our new ADSL is set up, so I'm in the office doing this now.
