LOve this one! Warm and bright at the same time. This has the sound of a classic 70's tune but I can't put my finger on it, maybe a Greatful Dead number. I like the snare a little off to the side like that. Do I hear two drummers? The singer has great charisma and comes off as a bit of a character. I like the off pitch stuff at the end ("Hurtin' ooonnnn") and the way the harmonies scoop up towards the note. We need details about the recording of this one and about the artist FB

Holy shit that was loud...almost blew my head off! I like the sound of the lead vocals - alot actually. The rest I don't like...too in your face and then the opposite with super springer verb on guit. Weird. The snare is too distracting as well, especially with that "type writer" sound you got going. Nice familiar sounding song though, since it's not ground breaking I'd go for a more conservative/classic approach with the mix and get that "comfort food (musically speaking)" draw from the listener. The song is definately aimed to a 40 something demographic.

I Like It Good tune, good mix. Not your typical rubber stamp job.

Vocals sound great. The mix sounds a bit lopsided to me. A little helter skelter. The left says present and bright, while the right says ambient and murky. Personally, I'd try to blanket these sounds on both sides, and kind of "hug" the mix with them. That's just me, tho. The mix is mastered very loudly...very present and squashed...oh well, 'tis the sound of the times, I suppose. Sounds to me like this song is going for a sound of earlier times, tho...

Mix I didn't like this mix overall. It sounds very tiny and thin. Sounds like too much individual eq'ing of each instrument. I would try the mix over again, listen to "Touch of Grey" by the Grateful Dead for some inspiration. Keep on truckin though, it's got potential! bcgood
