It needs the bottom end tightened up a bit. It's a little loose down there, kinda like a drunk white girl dancing to Jay-Z

It's not bad at all. I hear some kind of compression/smashing going on with the overall mix. I can hear a compressor grabbing it. And like what was said tighten the bottom end up. If you're boosting the kick eq...don't. Try rolling off some of the lows and putting some slight compression on it. It lacks punch. Right now it sounds ok, but once the vocals and other instruments get stacked on...by by kick. Hope that helps.

I can hear it "sucking in" some when the compressor grabs, almost like it's already on the air;

Adjusting the low end BEFORE the compressor will likely kill two birds wiht one stone. Also, dont be afraid of the mids; I recommend not pushing them back.

I adjust radio processors on AM and FM stations for a living. well, it's part of what I do for 40 radio stations. One of the benefits I have is to be able to listen to some of my favorite music while adjusting the processor to see what sort of difference it makes on my more familiar "reference" music. Keep in mind that an Omnia FM processor is going to seperate and fatten up your bass a LOT. What I am hearing is a mix that already sounds like it has the heavy hand of an Omnia or Orban radio processor. The best thing for a music mix if it is to hit a radio processor is to keep tightness and clarity in the low end- otherwise it will become muddy on the air.

I like the song. And overall it sounds nice... just sounds like it's already on the radio. (:

Yes; listening to how it actually "pushes" air on a set of speakers will help a lot. Listen quietly. Remember, most people who listen on the radio are in their car with lots of road noise. If this track hit an Omnia processor on a hip-hop station, the driver would mostly hear low end.
