Anyone interested in recording this Rock song?

This is a rough demo. I have no band, and had to wing everything myself. Tell me what you think. Even if you aren't interested in recording it, tell me what you think.

Someone has to have some thoughts on the song. If it sucks it sucks, but let me know.

I appreciate the input. This was my first recording and I need all of the input I can get. I know my way around a guitar, but I'd like to get a "real" guitar player to toss a killer solo in there when I re-record it. Any advice on how to get rid of the "sterile" sound. Don't get me wrong, unfortunately I did spend a ton of time on this, but it still needs work. I think I could stand to bring up the bass and bring to the vocals, any thougths?

For me to make a loop i spend hours sifting thu records and cd's. Then i can spend a whole day making a loop. Even then 80% of those loops dont make it to tunes as they are not very good. So with that in mind no one is going to put there best work on a sample cd.

Same go's for using sound replacer or ready made live drums. They make them vanilia.

The best way to improve your sound would be to get live drums. Even if their not perfect they can make the tune more intresting and vibey.

If you have to use loops try and make your own. And really the best way to do it would be to make just a kick and hi hat or something to track to.

People often make the mistake of building a whole drum performace from loops and then tracking to that. I think that drums have to fit the music and not the other way round. I to believe that drums that dont flow or have a disjointed rythem can also make things sound unplesent.

Also a good gtr sound and tight timeing help lot.
Even a not so good drums sound in recording, if it's a good ,solid and groovy
performance by a real drummer will beat any loop or sample that you can
get 1000 velocity with the snare sound.........
but again i'm talking about a good , solid and groovy live drummer

Just my opinion

You said it was a demo and I'm assuming you didn't have a band, so I'll avoid any critique on that aspect.

First off, it's a good song...would sound great with a real drummer. You may want to rework some of the riffs...I heard them coming from miles away. Pretty predictable. BUT--if you stay close to what you have and perhaps those riffs, perhaps some syncopation, they'd sound really good. Nice dark lyrics.

Your vocals are great. If you ever want to guest record some blues/rockers, my "virtual band" could use the help.
