thanks. the band is my own so that really means alot to me. i play guitars keyboards and bass. not all at the same time though.

lets see where to start.
its funny that i got into recording to work on my own music but it quickly turned to working on other peoples music so i could by better gear for my music. finaly ended up leading to a career so unfortunatly my music sometimes gets put on the back burner for a while when i need to pay the bills. i got the chance to do this song when i over booked studio time for another band i was producing at the time.

first off the scratch tracks for the song had been done for over a year before we even got to working with the band. (vox guitar and reason drum part) the first real part we tracked was the drum kit. the studio i had booked belonged to a friend of mine who produced hip hop and new age/enigma, needless to say recording drums was not a priority for him. we squezed the drum kit into an iso booth.

now the gear.

the drums are a great yamaha birch custom absolute with custom ordered tom sizes. its a fantastic sounding drum kit. the cymbals were all K custom darks except for paper crash, and a k custom jazz ride. we spent a lot of time picking thorugh cymbals but the k custom crashes won every time.

OH Akg c414buls spaced stereo pair
snare SM57 top sm81 bottom
kick beta52 in ev re10 out
toms md421mkii for each

all the pres were focusrite ISA's

the guitars

the phaser guitar

clean guitar
Fender Strat w/alnico 2 pickups>mesa boogie studio 22>rode NT2>aphex 207 tupe pre (great cheap tube pre btw)

Lead guitar 1
Same strat >tube screamer>Mesa 22>akgc414buls>focusrite ISA

lead guitar 2 (octave parts)
strat>tubescreamer>mesa 22>NT2>DBX 386

Keys

bass
