New Member, a few Metal Tracks

Hey all, benn browsing around for a few days and have to say I'm impress by the level of talent on this board. Here are few recent mixes I've finished up. Let me know what you guys think. First one is more extreme death metal, second is pretty mainstream border line nu metal.

Sounds good depending on the type of metal recording you are going for. The main problem is the level of the kick drum. On my computer speakers the kick is as loud as the vocal, and masking the guitars, and I can´t even hear bass guitar at all. Take the attack off the kick, on a whole put more punch in to the drums, raise the bass and guitar level, and put the drums in some space... some verb to pull them together. It sounds like you have some great guitar lines, push them above everything. This is death metal, vocals are secondary. Listen to Morbid Angel´s Domination or FFF and you will hear a great guitar level along with the drums that you are using. This will give more power and more clarity. Good luck... sounds brutal as hell.
