| Rock mix - some feedback greatly appreciated Hello everybody! I have been struggling with this mix for too long. Please tell me what you think guys! The band itself is reather weak - begginers, so the tracks I layed were really poor. They won on this contest I organised so they got this one for free.. Don't mind the song - I know it's not good. Coment just the sound please. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Grega |

| In my opinion. . . Pretty good mix overall Too much reverb on the drums especially the toms. . . Guitar and bass works well together to me. . . Try to keep a consistent level on the background vox. I thought I heard them in the beginning, but they were very quiet. If you had crap to work with in the beginning then you did a good job. I think that mix will do for free! Beez |

| I'd love to listen to it, but I'm having trouble with my realplayer 10.0. After I click on the link, I get a message that realplayer is checking for updates then I get the following error: "There is no software update available from Real to support this content." Anybody have any ideas?

| Guys thanks very much for the replay! I was in hospital for a week now, so I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Beezoboy! I considered the coment you gave about the reverb. The first version of the mix I did was a lot more dry. I gave it a rest for few days and then decided to make drums more spacey since they sounded too dool to me. Don't know how much of "modern sound" lost that way, but it sure strikes out more right to me now. Although, I know I've lost that infront sound of the drums this way. What's done is done... Djui5 ! About the sound - it does have a lot to do with how the song is arranged/composed. When you have a shit to work on, you don't stand a chance to do a decent mix) It allways pisses me of with poor bands with crapy songs when the exciting thing just isn't there when you start mixing. You get tired of listen to it after a few hours and the ok mix is just so faaaar away yet. After a few more hours all the image of"what it should sound like" is definitly gone. So you come back another day with shit stuff still going on. And you get more and more tired... Sometimes I think "waste of the gear" Don't you guy have an problems with that?! How do you deal with it?! Anyway thanks a lot for the replay you've posted! Regards! Grega |
