Tues. Nite Drinking and Jamming society is at it again...(updated again!)

A few of you know of my Tuesday night drinking and jamming buddies, as I've posted a few of our "efforts". Well this is the latest. (I've been reading about the Beatles recording sessions, as if you can't tell from this )

Scott

<edit 4/1/05> spent a couple more hours adding some synth and a new acoustic (12 string). I'm changing the MP3 to reflect the latest...

[4/5/05] - finished overdubs tonight - new version posted, re-mixed from scratch

Fabulous! :O)

And yep, more voice and guitar. The ghost like pick effect is great, still could use more body or general volume on that guit. track.

Yeah, extend the Beatles fund! Great thing to do.

Ruphus

PS: The doubling vox in the background seems a bit uneven.

Well, first off, I didn't write it, the singer (Rick Rehnberg) did - I'm just the producer/engineer/keyboard player. Secondly, we're very early in the process yet. we spent about 2 hours arranging and rehearsing, and getting a keeper rhythm track (AcGtr, Bass, Drums, Wurly, Scratch Vox). We spent another couple hours ( a week later) writing parts and o'dubbing a working vocal, slide guitar and Hammond. The 'mix' you're hearing is basically the cue mix for the o'dubs. 3rd, what I was reading is The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions, published by EMI in '88.

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. It's nice to know we seem to be headed in the right direction.

Scott
<edit> there's an updated MP3 at the top now, reflecting the latest overdubs

There's a new version posted (Apr. 6). We finished overdubs and I did a 1st attempt at a "real" mix. Comments welcomed.
