Killer Mike "2 Sides" Remix

Here's a remix we did to Killer Mike's "2 Sides" off of his latest album. Any feedback, advice or suggestions welcome!

Thanks,

Arthur McArthur

not bad homie... I would do some additional mixing- particular on the vocals they need a real boost (comp and eq). Is this for some Killer Mike remix contest I saw an add for? If so they will probably cop this...

Kinda random question- what did you use for the horns- fantom?

o and the sine lead you are using is low and sounds pretty weak. Whatever patch you have try tweaking it a little. If you have a Virus T.I. let me know their is a preset in the factory bank that has one of those thats incredible- I havent found one that actually sounds good- from the motif to the fantom to fm8 to making my own in Massive.

Thanks for the input.

I agree, the mix does need alot of work. The theremin lead I'm using is from a free VST called Super Spook Keys. I wish I had access to a Fantom or Virus, but I'm all ITB, and I can't seem to get a decent theremin sound anywhere... The horns are from an old school sample kit I found. Check your PM's, I'll send them to you.

its funny I always had no idea they were called that- the virus patch is called "Theramos". I have found no plug-n that can really replicate that. I even tried to make one in massive without much success- close, but not exactly what I was looking for. And like I said the ones on the fantom and motif are weak. Check your pm man I can actually hook you up.
