Were you born an asshole prick, or did you have to work at it?

This mix is good, but not Lord A. Gold or anything.
Its better than you could ever do of course, you deaf ****ing dipshit.

sounds like a well tracked session that wasnt mixed very well. Its a little blurry and hazy. It seems well EQ'd but perhaps some poor compression choices.

Love the song and mix... especially the vocal sound. I really dig the sheen on the voice.

Nice Track, personally i would back off the guitars a little which will let the vocals breath and be the focus, it will also make your drums appear a bit bigger and define your bass a little better....sometimes it's not about pushing things even louder but letting the elements dictate a balance ...

Wow, lots of negativity in this thread.

I dig the track first of all...I think it sounds very close to Panic at the Disco. Are the vox Melodyned/AutoTuned? Sounds like it. I prefer a rounder bass tone that blends better with the drums. I really dig the vocal tone and it sounds like you got your compressor to impart some nice harmonics. I think overall the drums could be louder and more in-your-face. I think big drums really grab people. Oh, and I think the verb on the vox is a little too present and distracting on the verses. In the bridge I think the guitars are a little too choppy but that my have been done in tracking.

For what it's worth...

Thumbs up

Great track, production and mixing!! This sounds really top notch.

Longwave, would you mind sharing a bit more info about the plug-ins you used in the mix?

What did you use for EQ and compression? Particularity on vocals.

Was the Duende used on anything else besides mix compression? What did you do in mastering?

Dude you guys are a bit deaf from the fact that this track is so over limited that its lost all definition on mostly every instrument in the mix. Not Pro! Actually this track played over the radio would sound very thin and hissy. Sounds like a track that was well recorded but only amateur mixed... Sorry...THats my two cents...

sad to say, loudness war is a VERY professional matter..
the guitars in the chorus are kind of influenced by that situation. I'd prefer them half a dB less thick.
nevertheless, great work. the verse sounds totally fine to me.

My goodness... Didn't think I would get treated to such a great mix....

Nice job... It kind of reminds me of Jimmy Eat World...

What else did you use the fatso for besides the drums?

Nice job - very well produced.

I agree with the comments about upping the vox - maybe just a little eq is needed.
