my bands new song mix / recording advice

Hey guys, in the studio right now trying to finish my bands new ep. It is going pretty good, we are using a pro tools based system with a couple of decent pre's a so/so ad convertor... I just wish i had my own studio... I know how i want it to sound and could take it there, but its so rush rush and you can't really experiment with things. So the guy recording us, relieson edits pretty heavily (which is understandable i suppose he is trying to make a living)... even though we are a live band and thats where we shine. It is sounding ok, but i just feel it needs to be a bit more organic. Abuse of pro tools kills records for me. Capture the emotion instead of trying to create it IMO... but anyways, what do you guys think of the song/mix ... It's a bit long, but this isn't suppose to be a single or anything, we have a couple others that are a bit more poppy that we will use.
Thanks so much for everyone who posts insightful and knowledgeable posts on here, it has been so huge for me to learn through this site, I read this site all day when playing poker... hopefully my poker earning this year will help me open my own recording studio where i can finally take the time to craft an album and experiment with different tones and techniques. (because we sure as hell aren't gonna make any money as an original band! LOL :P)

It would be better if you could upload it so we can listen on our monitors, I bet you would get more and faster responses. I don't comment when I can only hear on my junky computer speakers.
