| Hey Everyone, How would you mix these guitar tracks? Thanks! Ok, so in the linked Zip file are 4 different mono wav files... http://iamyourfavorite.com/guitar.zip Guitar 1 Shure (Shure KSM 44 aimed at 13th fret, 1ft away) Guitar 1 AKG (AKG 414 aimed at soundhole, 1.5ft away, off to right and angled down) Guitar 2 Shure (same as Guitar 1 Shure) Guitar 2 AKG (same as Guitar 1 AKG) These are two guitar parts each recorded with two mics and were recorded using an M-Audio DMP3 preamp, Yamaha Compass Series Acoustic Guitar, and M-Audio Delta 44. There will eventually be vocals on top of these, but I wanted to make sure my guitar tracks didn't sound awful before I moved on. So I'm wondering. How would you mix these guitar tracks? Are they recorded well enough or would you suggest re-recording them? If you have time and don't mind, could any of you do a quick mix of these guitar tracks and post your results? And also let me know what you've done? If ya don't have time for that, I totally understand. Any suggestions or help you guys can offer is much appreciated. Thank you so much and I look forward to your replies! --Casey |
