Hip Hop Mixes

My first show and tell here. Any feedback is appreciated. My production and mixes. I know there is a kick issue on the chorus of "desert flower". The artist is Deuce Eclipse. Zion I is guesting on "Illusion" and "Listen"

listened to desert flower. first off, i'd like to thank you for not slammin da bejeebus out of the song. it's rare to hear a posted up hip hop song with some headroom left these days it seems.

i liked the song man. i liked the flute, the nylon and how the backing vox work. good arrangements and song writing. i'd like to hear a bit more meat in the ld vocal, but i have no idea what your signal chain is, so maybe it's just what the gears give. not bad, just something a little chunkier in that dept mighta been nice and is clearly subjective.i'm sure i'll come back to listen to the others. keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback. the chain was a vintage u87 into a chandler ltd..don't remember the eq and a touch of compression via a smart c1.

in the mix just some additional eq with urs a10. how would you suggest adding meat?

i appreciate the suggestions.

The mixes sound cool. I met Deuce Eclipse at Carnaval. He had a good performance. I bought his CD too.

Nice mix ( desert flower ).... Vocals stand out a little much for my ears... Could blend vocals in a little more.. but other than that sounds good...
