The mix lacks low end in my opinion. A little bright and harsh. I don't really dig the kick too much. Punchy but no balls. This mix isn't that dense so you have some room to really extend the low end. The guitars are a little mid sounding. I think it works on the leads, but the rhythm guitars fall into the same space and they really conflict and fight for space. I subscribe to the methadology that a rhythm track should have the balls that hold a mix together. Lead lines are ear catching, but can work in an anemic way if you catch my drift.

Its getting there. I think I remeber this song.

Isn't the UAD stuff awesome?

my honest opinion

Kick is just so internet mp3 wannabe sounding--that overcompressed plugin sound

Mix is small and without punch and dimension. Very mono. Vocal levels wander out of the box too much

I would start with this:
the guitars are flattened down and this makes it boring.
vocals are swimming on the surface like marshmallows thrown into the sea.
you could concentrate on the mix, with little compression and good dimension, and have it mastered later.
mp3 is recommended with at least 192kbit, for judgement & discussions.

I like the band!

The encoding is just TOO crappy to hear anything critically....

use db power amp "alt preset standard" for MP3 encoding.
