need some advice/critique on my mix

Hi,

I would like some opinions on this song, regarding it´s mix.
Especially I´d like to know where the weak spots are and what needs to be improved.

The song was entirely mixed in the box with PT Le on a Digi002R.

Any comments are really apreciated.

The vocals could be a bit lower. If you have it availabe why not try to burn it (the vocals...why not everything too later) through some iron or tubes to make it warmer and thicker...master it to tape...??

Cool song. I'm just amazed how a lot of folks here on this MP3 section of the Gearslutz forum can come up with such amazing drum sounds! I'm just dazzled by the sound of this kit as well as a few other within songs that were posted recently. Was this by any chance triggered and used with samples?

Back to this song, I thought this was well done. It has a mainstream quality to it.

Thank you for your kind words

Well for this recording I made the drummer put on some new drumheads and also made him tune his kit!!! This definitely made a huge difference. But I still mixed in a Snare and a Bassdrum Sample. They didn´t replace the original, but were mixed in slightly under the original to give them some more punch.

The most problem gave me the OH´s. I think I should have concentrated more on the OHs, than to try to capture the whole kit for this style of music.

If your interested I can post the recording setup.
