Man, this has some ferocious sound quality to it. I like the drum kit sound signature. Guitars are nice and thick. I also enjoyed the balance of the mix. Personally, the vocals could be nudged up. But if it requires a remix, I don't think it is a necessary thing. It sounds good already. I really enjoyed listening to this.

Yeah, I just fuged on the mastering the vocal could move on it, and I think it probably deservingly is oversquished and I'm probably not qualified to move the low either.. mastering again too... If I move it I'd be looking in the dark ya know, it's as close as I can get it on my adam's..

But mix wise then it's passible huh? I btw was not responsible for the harshness in the guitars that was a artistic choice.
I wish I had a good piece o gear that did that harsh sound smoothly.

Thanks for the input.

Why in the hell would you want the mastering engineer to bring up the vocals?.....

nono, right.. move it in relation to the low mid mud and the 4k range harshness, it's gonna push that vocal forward, or the mid in genereal, that was my difficulty with the set of songs, I'd pull one end of the string and push and it would bow up the curve in the middle, etc.

? am I making sense, I couldn't quite decide/get it done, kept mucking, and hearing it go back and foreth, I need to obey, the rule, never do your own stuff.. specialy on your own gear.
or at least have someelse do a run at it.

I think it's distorting. I think. The cymbals, especaially the hats are sort of annoying. Maybe that's what I think the distortion is. Or maybe their distorting. Vox sound good. Guitars are pretty huge. Nice sound there. I'd like to hear this without all of the L2.

L2?

Heh, I couldn't have even had got it that loud with L2.

It would have been 5 times as bad.

If I had $500 I'd get it mastered trust me, none

of my work has ever got mastered. I've always had

to do it myself.

Someday the bands won't drink it all.

On the next one I think I'm going to make them promise away

release until they fork over mastering cost. I decided this after

this one was so close to actually sounding decent.

ah, sorry, there are 5 songs.

I'm a picky sob too, I will probably want different settings

durring the throttle parts too, because that's what

I don't do well.

But, I'm a damn fast learner. :)

Which is another thing, it would rule if I could go too,

but I doubt I could manage that first time out too.

Again, I record and mix all the stuff for free,

so to pay someone to master it, doesn't really

make sense, cause I have a hard enough time forking

my hard earned dough out for gear. It's hard enough

to explain the equation to my wife.

Recording +mixing - (costs) = happiness
