mix suggestions, limited gear

Ok, So this was tracked entirely in my 18x12 bedroom (no treatment). Recorded through a FMR RNP, and a small behringer eurorack mixer, into a ESI waveterminal (4 inputs), into a PC running Cubase SX. Mic Selection: pair earthworks Tc30k's, Akg d112, a couple sennheiser e815s ($100 for 3 of them...).

Mixed in the box, L2 on the mix bus.
Monitoring through a pair of Acoustic Research bookshelf speakers.

Any suggestions on the mix? I cheated and used Drumagog (VST sound replacer) on kick and snare with about 50% sample 50% original.

Thanks,

Alex

The kick is ducking the bus compressor around entire mix - maybe you wanted this. Sounds cool if not "natural"...

Maybe use a multiband comp on the bus if you want less ducking effect, or turn down the kick or remove some bass from it...

yea the ducking is on purpose, but i might have over done it a bit, my monitors are a little lacking in low end. I checked it out in my car, but it makes everything sound hyped so its kinda hard to tell.

Thanks rynugz007, I told my buddy nick (he wrote and played it all) that it needed some more vox, but thats all he had, maybe we'll figure something out to fill it out a bit more.
