| Advice Needed. Hi, Soliciting any and all comments on the attached. I'm most curious about the tones of drums, piano, bass and vocals. Not necessarily the takes themselves. This is the first track i tried to make the tones right. All the rest I will be applying the same tones to, so i want to be as good as i can before doing the work to the rest of them. Ultimately i'm always listening to really pro stuff and wishing i could do more. For instance the new coldplay album and radiohead sounds damn good. I think there may be another part or two in store for this song eventually as well. Eventually i get to that point where i can't tell if i'm making things better or not, or even if they are anywhere near right. I think i'm there this week. Really appreciate any help you can give. | I appreciate the comments. Perhaps a bit more space for the vocal is a good thing. There is a bit of something there on purpose but maybe it is too subtle. Since i posted this i've added a bit more air on the drums and reamped the bass for a bit of tone in the top end of the bass but I don't have a new version in mp3 that will fit on here. I'll play around with the vocal space but it looks like its time to move on to all the other songs. Any more thoughts? Thanks again! |
