upbeat pop rockish tune SoundClick artist: s34nsm411 - studio account. everything here mixed/produced by me! "fnb 14 work in progress" gonna finish tracking vox tomorrow probably, drums are dfhs, guitars were tracked with a stiletto combo and then i used impulses to create the cab simulation. bass is also direct with a svt classic and impulsed. vox tracked through at4050. did i make the overheads too bright again? do the guitars cut enough? tell me urrythang you hear! edit: and apparently the drums cut out at the very end for some reason, oh well

ive begun a new process of recording guitars sort of, which is to switch my hotplate to LOAD so that no sound comes through and listen to the sound of the guitar through the monitors only and tweak the amp till i like it, then i group each L/R guitar pair so that theyre on their own group channel in cubase and put an eq on it to highpass and tweak a little, no compression. lots of guitar leads also, oh and the rhythm is doubled in open tuning and also once on acoustic which i miced in XY

I'm amazed the drums are DFH. Guitars really sound chunky (chunky is good here). Very listenable. Great to hear other villians rockin' Cubase here! Keep it coming man... looking forward to the final...

Sounds really good dude! My few things to consider would be, 1) I could use more vocals 2) It's a little over compressed to my ears. It sounds great in the sparse and punchy parts, (Intro's, verse's) but it makes the dense parts a lot smaller, which in this case is the chorus. Really creative overall though and nice ear candy! ![]() Mitch

| Lives for gear | BFD 2 runs hella slow on my macbook (2.16 duo core, 2 gigs ram), do you guys think dfhs would run better? Great track btw all of your stuff is really well tracked, arranged, and you do great ITB mix and masters, keep it up! |

I love the mix, it's been really well done. Not 100% on the snare sound though... actually, on a second listen it sounds fine!
