Mix/Song Critique: Mountains/Balance

So I'm recording/mixing a few songs for a friend of mine from grade school. We were in a band together that broke up about 5 years ago. He's now doing a solo acoustic thing, I back him up on bass once in a while:

MySpace.com - SEAN FAUST - In a house on a street on a block in a town in, New Jersey - Acoustic / Progressive / Roots Music - www.myspace.com/seanfaust

Below are 2 songs I recently did for him, both are newly arranged from stuff our old band did back in the day. We were a pseudo prog-rock band so we've definitely had to make some changes:

Mountains

Programed drums and bass by me. Sean did the rest of the instruments. The Piano is the Gigasampler Steinway, organs are from Sonar. Recorded in my living room, mixed entirely in the box (Sonar 7).

Balance

Many Moons ago we paid some guy like $150 to record one of our rehearsals to DA-88 Multitrack tape, these drums one from that session as was the guitar solos (completely out of laziness). Everything else was over-dubbed and re-done.

None of this is "mastered" but I did use some limiting so the MP3 codec wouldn't frack everything up too badly. The files are about 10 MB in size because they are variable bit-rate MP3 files.

Enjoy, critique, tell me if I should burn all my stuff and get a new hobby.
