| Gear interested | Hey guys its me again I recently recorded yet another band except this time i took your advice and tried out the "glyn johns method". This proved to be a most complete failure as the drummer was awful and unbalanced. But this mix i think still has some hope, but im not sure where to go next. Since the attachment uploading has been suspended (#@$%#@^$%) go to MySpace.com - Amity Studio - Prospect, Connecticut - Ambient / Indie / Alternative - www.myspace.com/amitystudio and listen to the song here it goes. that is the song i am talking about and just get back to me with some pointers. thanks! :) |

| First problem is that there's no song called "Here It Goes" on your myspace, so I'm going to assume that you're talking about "Hope Has Heart." It's about impossible to tell anything over myspace because of their crappy encoding. Post the mp3s at some place like Tindeck Audio so we can get a better idea of how the mp3 actually sounds. As it is now, everything is pretty muddy and muffled. It doesn't help that the band you recorded sucked. Recording inexperienced bands is never fun, but it does get you money. However, I would recommend against putting a poor band on your portfolio because it makes YOU look bad. The "Backing Up Forwards" track on your myspace sounds a million times better. |
