Peluso 251 recordings

As requested by several gearslutz foyer buds - here are a few things i recorded today with the peluso 251.

The acoustic guitar was a gibson something ornother -- pretty nice.
Electric guitar I forget what it was - it was out of a nice musicman combo amp - edit - a Music Man 212 75.

All recorded in my 12 by 10 room - with no treatment yet - wood floors - not really dampened well enough yet - a little boxy sounding. All through the Sebatron vmp2000e.

Here ye all go.

Nice sleepy jazz electric guitar.

By the way - this one had the figure 8 mode going on me thinks.

the player let a lot of undesired fret/body noise creep into this one. but what me worry?

Hi Dan,

Thanks for posting.

I thought there was a little too much room in the vocal track to make too much of a judgement on the mic.

However I really liked the electric guitar sound you got, whether that be more down to the amp, mic or the pre I don't know as I'm not familiar with the Musicman combo.

The acoustic track was a little too 'stunted' for me to tell anything about the gear, I just knew I didn't like the sound of the stabby bits - more chords! Plucked, strummed, etc.

Thanks again.

Not yet round - I'm a cheap bitch - and I guess everyone else has been preoccupied at the moment. I had a Peluso 47 thing in the works but then I sold off the last one I had in stock just the other day - so that is even more postponed - getting a real 251 is a major feat in and of itself.... It will come together though....

I agree with Rich, I hear the room, not the mic!

Yeah - next session - maybe we can try out the larger living room.
Thanks for the insights.
