I hate these "stems" remixing things. Give us the raw tracks!

?

It just kinda sounds like it's been put through some analogue gear / distortion?

I thought by remix it was creating something new with beats etc?

It's really boring

sorry, maybe i'm clueless?

I like the song...I just wanted to bring a bit more edge. I really did not want to ad tons of Apple loops, etc. Thanks for feedback

Hey - cool mix! I remember your name from the site - I also remember thinking it was good!!

Heres a link to mine:

listen to / vote for my radiohead remix!

the only thing I used from the session was thom's voice. built a minimal beat, tons of dark synth stuff.. I'm pretty happy with how it come out - its glitchy/malevolent...
Burial glitch vocals meets asian horror flick tension. micro edits, intentional superquiet noises. minimal. Pretty much what I was going for!

Mine doesnt have repetitive song structure, but its short and has little sections.

massive cred to anyone that can name the modular synth filters used / general effects!

first of all: nice mix!

but did i get that right:
To make remixing easy, the separate 'stems'* from the song are available to purchase from iTunes.

you have to purchase the stems from itunes???

That's dope!

I listened to a few, I like that you kept it 6/8 unlike loads of other 4/4s (probably outside their comfort zone.

To original poster: Mix is nice

Thumbs down

What stopped me from paying for the parts was the section that says that Radiohead will LISTEN to the top voted mixes.

Is that it, just listen.

Wow, cheers for that. Maybe they can start paying me because I've been listening to their stuff for years.......

Wow, all of your remixes are very nice. Thought I'd share some comments since I've got some time, please ignore if it's not your thing...

Abery Clark: It sounds kind of like a mix remix of all the stems, and is well done. The distortion on the guitars gives it a bit more bite, and sounds cool. Overall quite nice.

Bricks: Now this is different for me. I love the glitch-yness of it, and also that it's "too the point". I like that you used the breath intake sound before a few bars, pretty cool.

Mejon: I really love those pulsing toms/drums underneath, the bell sounds, guitars, etc. The track builds up nicely. Some of those synth parts remind me of "planet telex". Awesome stuff.

Julian: Never imagined a version like this. Very interesting and it's cool you flipped it to 4/4 time. Also it sounds like you dubbed some vocals over it? Nice.

Here's my first attempt at it:

Radiohead/ Remix/ Nude _ Upload

Tried it in 4/4 time so the vox parts got cut up a bit (which is obviously the best part of the song, so my mistake).

After hearing all of yours I might give it another go.

Probably pointless I know, but I put together another remix that I think has a feel that is a little more faithful to the album version.

Radiohead/ Remix/ Nude _ Upload

Tried to add some harmonies to it, more aggressive sounding drums, etc. T'was fun.
