| Please comment on my production and mixing This is an ITB mix I've been fighting with for the last 2 days or so. I would appreciate all kinds of suggestions, but especially some AUTOMATION tips/ideas. Also, feel free to say that it all sucks. Thanks in advance for your feedback!!!!!! Mauricio |

| sounds pretty good. i think that lo-fi crushed drum sound on the hard right messes with the acoustic a bit and would sound better not panned as hard. pretty good job overall though. i thought the vocal tone was very good and overall the dynamics were cool. |

| very clean overall. the first thing that I noticed was that the ride panned out to the right just fine, but the hi-hat seemed right down the middle, and I need to feel separation in the drums for the mix to be balanced. just a suggestion. good job. |

| Thanks for the feedback so far. The two panning suggestions helped a lot. No4PCs, here are some specs on the recording: This was done using SONAR 7. Preamps were either the pres from an Apogee Mini-Me and or the desk pres from a Yamaha PM2000 console. Vocals were recorded with a Shure SM7 into the Mini-Me, using a bit of the SLC 2 compressor/soft limiting thing (I messed around with the trim pots inside the Apogee so the compression ratio was a lot lower than the factory setting). Nothing (apart from the bass) was recorded over -16dBfs. Plugins were mostly from Voxengo. VariSaturator is on a lot of the tracks. If I recall correctly, the vocal chain was something like VariSaturator > Voxengo Voxformer (started with the "in your face" vcl preset) > Voxengo Gliss EQ. Also used Audio Damage's Discord2 all over the place - Snare( try tweaking the "Devil Stomp" preset for fattening a drum), vocals, backing vocals, Acc gtrs... Didn´t used any samples. Might do so later. I'll be summing this on the desk later on. Also, I'll be posting more from this project. Keep sharing your knowledge and tips! Thanks again!
