Hey,

Nice tune, likes the vocal a lot.

However, I would beef up those rythm guitars and the bass (maybe add some growl to the bass too).

I really liked how the drums mix in the song.

Keep on going

thanks man, im really picky about guitar tone as i am a guitar player. but any suggestions on how to make the low end sit better. its kind of muddy more than punchy. im taking the low off the guitar at about 100hz and boosting bass around 60hz any other tips?

in fact, the guitars lacked some articulation in the mediums (like they had a "box" sound to them) and some air.

I just thrown an EQ on Logic and found quick settings. Don't know if its the sound you are reaching for, but I have the feeling that it may be a good start for you. For info, when mixing modern metal, I refer to In Flames / Soilworks (Stabbing the Drama).

You can be more extreme on the mid settings, but its hard to judge since i had to make it work with all the other instruments. Looks like you've been a little to hard on cutting the mids. And to make the low end of your guitars sit better, use the bass and the kick. they have plenty of low end and if mixed just right, they may give that extra push to your guitar traks.

PS: boosting at 60 after cutting at 100 won't help. But I suggest that you were meening the contrary.

Good luck and please post the results

You have a nice tune. Just lacking a voice track !

ho yeah, and now you'll have to work again on the rest of the mix to make it fit your new sound. Do not hesitate to automate the snare so that it is not that aggressive on the grind core parts.
