| Need EQ help (not sure if this is the right forum) Hi all, please let me know if I should be posting this elsewhwere on the site. I am a voicer...NOT an sound engineer (and that is OBVIOUS :)) I recently replaced my Presonus Eureka, which had a preamp and compressor in it...with a Presonus Firepod, which is just an audio interface. I have a RNC that is currently not hooked up, and no stand-alone preamp at the moment. I am hoping to accomplish what needs to be done within Adobe Audition (1.5!!) Could anyone please listen to my current sound and give me specific settings and advice to make this sound better? I would be much obliged!! :) |

| Hmm what kind of mic are you using first of all? To me it sounds pretty midrange honkey. Needs that crisp presence of a voice over in the top end, needs the rumble of the low end... Lacks that... I took it and added a tiny bit of lowend, a tiny bit of 10K to accentuate those "s's" and I put a light limiter on it. This is a wav file which I converted to wav from your mp3 so sound quality is minimal. That;'s the most I could do with what your voiceover is. If I add anymore to it, It will start to sound fake. What kind of mic? |
