Work in Progress: Dark, Moody Rock

The beginning has some bleed from my not turning off the speakers.

The guitar playing is a bit shaky.

Drumming isn't the most inspired.

Other than that... how does it *sound*? I've been listening to this for quite a while, and I'm very much a novice, so I thought it'd be fun to get some new ears on it, perhaps to focus my attention.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Alex

Damn she has almost the same voice as maggy white of the white stripes. Nice tune song. But hell men there well be alot of work to get this mix right. The drums are way on the back in the mix with the bass/gitar. Then your cymbals need more a muddy/dark EQ and more pan / volume to bring it up.
Your on the good track but there is allot of work to do on.
Succes men keep it on!

Hmm, you think the drums should be louder? Noted.

I'll think about the cymbals too.

Party on,
Alex

the drum level is fine in the 'verses' but in the quiet parts the snare disappears and sounds inconsistent in levels, sometimes there sometimes lost. the kik needs some work to as it's a bit flabby and too loud at times. vocals sound good and well recorded. pretty cool song overall

Where would you say the kick is too loud? I'll see what I can do about flabbiness.

Here's an "updated" version.

Thanks a bunch,

Yea make the release on the compresser on the drums way quicker. Gtr needs hi pass and the drums need samples haha or just take the mids out.. ya know typical drum eq. Do your thang.
