| pop rock mix! check it outtttt you know you want to SoundClick artist: s34nsm411 - studio account. everything here mixed/produced by me! "fnb 11 work in progress" working on this and a few other songs to be released on a little demo cd drums are all midi, guitars recorded direct with a soldano avenger the rhythm guitars might be a little loud in some parts, i need to automate that stuff a little more i think. also the piano might be a little low and not "sustainey" enough... what do you all think? |

| Well, as usual this isn't really my kind of stuff but I think it sounds really good. I like the "duet" going on, I'm assuming with yourself. I must be starting to dig it because I think I can see it in a video, split screened. |

| Nicely done, even the key choice is right. I might try reamping the drums (playing them thru monitors in a room and recording that with a mike and blending in a TINY bit on your mix) to add some ambient realism, or you could just add a TINY (tiny) bit of reverb. I use midi drums all the time and you (we) want to not let it show that they are samples. The kick especially sounds a bit drab, although I think you got the eq just right. AN occaisional cymbal peeking out is good too. I like the song and I like the tasteful use of anteres (or whatever) in the lead vox. I agree that the guitar may be a bit loud in spots but it may be that leaving it there keeps the energy up. I'm not an expert at mastering by any means but you may want to listen to that loud guitar-over-voice section through a compressor to see if it gets worse when compressed so that you can second guess if it will be a problem down the road. LK
