| hey jp-sounds great. could you elaborate on your signal chains? I think the bass has a really great sound and helps to carry the whole song especially for this style. best, Brandon

Bass was a Warwick Corvette w/active electronics, EQ set flat, into a Little Labs MultiZ DI set for mid Z. From there it went to an Ampeg SVT3 with a LOT of tube gain (7-8 or so) into an Ampeg 2x10 cab, mic'd with a Soundelux U195. The mic went into a Phoenix DRS-2 and Distressor, not sure of the compression settings off hand. I think it was around 6-7db of reduction on average, really grabbing hard. Then I multed the DI yet again and ran it through a Sansamp bass driver DI for a little overdrive. In the mix, all of the bottom from about 250hz-down was rolled off both DI tracks, and everything above 4k was rolled off the Sansamp track. The blend was: SVT track at 0dB, Little Labs DI at -15dBm Sansamp at -10dB. The Ampeg track also fed a bus output to a Peavey Kosmos subharmonic generator, which was blended in just enough to add some "floor" to the sound.

Vocals were also a 57, handheld, through the DRS2, Distressor and Manley ElOp. In the mix they hit the Distressor again, and were multed out into an Ibanez Tubescreamer, which was blended underneath the original vocal (blend was approx 2/3 original, 1/3 Tubescreamer). Found a cool vocal delay and left it on the whole time for every song (lazy but it seemed to work well).

| I guess it makes mixing easy when you use good techniques and take your time through the process. I love the guitar sound. Excellent job, I know their probably super excited about the mix. Brandon

| I like it. It reminds me of the really raw sounding punkcore I used to mosh to in the Philly underground clubs. |
