| What tuning are you using? That's not standard 440? I think the snare needs more snap to it. It sound too hollow. This is not directly related to the mix, but I'm a bit underwhelmed by the half-step thing you've got going on in what seems to be the chorus early in the song. I'm guessing the stale chord progression makes it hard to come up with a good vocal track for it. I might be wrong though. |

| snare good thought Ive heard this track so many times I feel like Im missing the obvious things. as far as arrangements its not my song and Im really not producing these guys so it is what it is. the tuning is not 440. if I remember correctly its a whole step low. I tracked this stuff last August I will have to check my notes.(band took some time off so they didnt return for mixing session) thnx for the snare opinion though I will definitely have a look at it.
