Testing my new monitors - krk 6000

Made a quick (rough) mix of an old punksong my band recorded a few years ago. It is heavily compressed and dry - but it is supposed to be somewhat upfront and ugly.

So, how are are the general balances and eq, do you think? Am I totally off?

Good song!

It seems like a happy version of this song (might just be me). YouTube - Photovideo - "Brompton Oratory" by Nick Cave
The vocals could benefit from not being quite so ugly, though.

Ha ha! Same chord progression. Well I guess that is the risk, when one writes popsongs - not too many variations from the form (norm!).

Thank you for your listening.
