First Logic tune ... feedback appreciated

Hello

I'm finally getting my head around Logic (just in time for the next version, hah!).

I was hoping to get some feedback on this mix. I am very new to this, and I am sure I'm making a lot of rookie mistakes.

I'd dig your comments.

John

Wow that's loud!

It's kinda blaring to me, it's painful to listen to in headphones. The drums (esp snare) are way too high in the mix. Like 12db or more!

If you level rebalance it you'll be much of the way there. Maybe some mix bus compression that will pull down some of the excessive "punch" and make it more palatable and polished. The dirt guitar could use a re-EQing it's kinda blah.

But it's a nice thoughtful piece and I'm sure you'll pull it around!
