Basically Mixing EQ stuff

Digital distortion is never good, so get those levels down when mixing. Try getting your overall mix level down to -6 at the max BEFORE slapping any mastering, leveling plug on the whole mix. That will help bring out your low end as well... I can tell you're fighting that.

The other thing is that you got a lot of stuff fighting in the 1K range... I would say EQ those horns very slightly down around 1.5K maybe 1.5-3 dB and add some AIR to the top of them by shelving them up around 14-16K maybe a couple DB. This gets them out of the vocals way. Then, there's a little too much boxing in that vocal low end. I say take out somewhere between 300-450 on those vocals (just a little) to clean them up a little. They seem a little punchy in the 1.2K area a little, also, but thta could be MP3.

My 2 cents..

Forget EQ and this and that. Why are you up a semitone? Listen to the original or the Diddy version and play it the same.

I can't really remember what it sounded like before to do a direct comparison, but it definitely doesn't sound like it's distorting now except what i onpurpose with the clash cymbals against the kick (808). I would say add high end to the whole mix. It seems like the whole mix could be brighter before compressing at the end..

The synths, dude. The synths.

I think it's a crime to recreate the classic "Kashmir" riff, in the wrong key.

Give Page a break.
