Randalls got the grooves man.

That`s too funny.

It sounds pretty good too.

Nice work Randall.

Took about 10 minutes to program drums.... the rest was cake musically...if you wanna call it that, everything was in one take once I wrote the bass line.

I was tryin to hit the Zappa vipe.... but I got about an hour into it and said to myself, WTF are you doing?

spent about 10 minutes on the mix...I know... it shows....

waiting on Q's "rebutal" as he calls it...LOL

Guess I should mention for anyone interested,

Drums; Dm5 midi'd up to an SR16 for sequencing
Guitars; 72 Tele DI'd through Digitech GSP 2101
Bass; JB Player with EMG's DI'd through 2101 a little LA2A from UAD-1
Vocals; Rode NTK. Waves RCL.. a little disapointing eh?
recorded with the pre's from and with the ESI WamiRack 192X @24/44.1...
TC Multiband Compressor and Waves L2 in Wavelab for Mastering, if you wanna call it that.
Samplitude 7.2....Rocks!

A little history for the new guys,
We used to have a chatroom... E-Cue ALWAYS used a duck as his avatar in the room.. one day years ago... I don't recall if it was me or E-Cue (I didn't have a clue who he is at that time ) came up with this idea that we would have a 90 minute challenge.. starting a song from scratch.. and posting it back on the board.. this was my part of the challenge.. I'm playing all the instruments.. mixed and mastered it the best I could in the time frame allowed and brought it to the board..

Well... Mr. Q came back at me with an abomination of samples somethin about Oh Randall you can't handle this.. on ya, on ya, the city of LA don't play, we'll put it on ya or something like that... well... the concensus around the board back then was that he ate my lunch... I can't say.. I don't do samples.

But... it was a lot of fun.. there wasn't any animosity behind this at all.. Q's my Bro-Dog.

We need another round of "The 90 Minute Challenge"

i could see primus doing that song if they had been sitting around for the last 10 years doing heroin, and the bass player overdosed and thats al they had left. hahahahahah
