What do you think? I have a song that I will probably remix, but wanted to see what my fellow slutz thought of first. First off I will offer my own self critique. I will probably fade it out at the end, and secondly, I think the bass drum is a little to pronounced in places, perhaps it needs some compression. Thanks for listening.

New drum samples are a must, by brother or sister. You obviously have a sense of music and musicianship, but some of the sounds and samples sound very very dated. Where are you hoping to see your music go? Tunesmith

Tunesmith, Thanks for your comments. I guess I tend toward the ambient type sounds with a rock type drum sound. I've tried different drum sounds, and could never find something that blended well to my ears. Some of the sounds are from fairly old equipment, so that would sound dated, yes. I found the drums always the most difficult to get right. I'm working on releasing a CD on a very small label, appealing to the New Age/relaxation crowd. I also think it might be applicable to film music.

So far not alot of response. Not the curent style I guess, but I'm just wondering why so many others have more downloads than views. Is there another place on gearslutz that mp3's are downloadable besides from here? Is it dated, or just vintage sounding? Mellotrons are dated but I like the sound of them. Some people like the sound of pianos but they are WAY dated. What's so fresh about Nora Jones? I like the the style of recording by Tomita, Tangerine Dream, lotsa reverb, but it sounds good. Any takers?
