Alrighty, Here goes!

This is a recent recording/mix of a band I've been working with.
It's a pop punk/emo/? type thing.

Tear it up! :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

To answer ebberong's quetsions:
Guitars were done with a Marshall JCM 900 and 1960a cabinet.
Cabinet was miked with a Royer 121 right in the grill, center of cone > Vintech 1272 thru Lucid 8824 to Mackie HDR recorder.

Drums were a Tama Swing Star kit.
All tracks thru Lucid converters.
OH's: Shure SM 81's in X/Y > Vintech 473
Inside Kick: Audix D-6 > 1272 > dbx 160x
Outside kick: Soundelux ifet7 in "i" mode > 1272
Snare: AKG 414 b/lus > Vintech 473 > Distressor
Snare bottom: SM 81
Rack toms: Audix D-2 > dbx pres
Floor tom: A/T Atm25 > Vintech 473
Room: Rode NTK > ?....... Can't remember :)

Vox was Soundelux ifet > 473 > Distressor. They're pretty distorted from the Vintech and Distressor. Lot's 'o hairy distortion.

Bass was a cheap Peavy Jazz copy thru a Bass pod > 1272 > Distressor. More Distressor on mix down.

Vox comp on mix down: Joe Meek SC2.2

Drum buss comp: ART VLA

Mixed on a Mackie d8b....... :(

Thanks again!

hey scotty,
sounds great. I've done a couple bands similar to that recently and i was just wondering how you treated the guitars. Are they just singled tracked each? Did you pan them opposite in the mix and sub them or are they just bussed straight to the 2bus?

Thanks,
Brandon
