Question How did I do this Rock ballad?

Hi fellow sluts!

I finished this rock ballad and i wondered if you guys like it. I delivered this mix which was recorded and mixed in my bedroom to the band (friends of my, 17-18 years old) and they were very happy!

But i have some issues with the vocals (they seem a bit on the edge) and i was wondering if i could help it with eq'ing or something? The band also wanted the big volume shift between the verse and chorus, but i think the contrast is a bit too big. Myself i was wondering if i'd do a remix.

I would also like to know what i can improve on this mix!

Thanks in advance,

Roger

The drums and bass are probably the best elements, I would move them forward. Hihat/cymbals sound funny(mp3 artifacts I guess) The vocals are a bit loud and there's some sibilance, but sound good otherwise. Guitars seem to wander instead of being fixed.
